Interbike Week + Photo shoot at Lavs

Bobby Carter at Interbike

Richard Aguayo, Dakine, and myself made the trip to check out the famous Interbike trade show that hits Las Vegas the last week of September every year. This was my first trip to Interbike and I was very stoked! Lots of sick new parts and so many new colours for 2010!

While in Vegas, we joined Cameron White at TJ Lavin's house for a flatland session inside Lav's newly constructed "toy garage." Cam was out in the yard doing his thing and Bobby Carter joined Richard and myself for an afternoon session. My good friend Wes from Mammoth came to supervise and Jessica Blair showed up at the end for a few fotos.

Cooke catch up video

There's not many boss's out there are currently in the Dew tour and X-Games.
Haro bikes recently new brand manager, Allan Cooke cuts some laps at the local park and rides a ghetto spot near his 9-5 at Haro, and also catches up with a little interview.
Allan's get up has changed a lot also, for 2009 he rocks a brakeless/ free coaster set up and handles it with no problems...

Nyquist wins 2 in a row at Dew

Ryan Nyquist has done it again in Dirt at the 3rd stop of the Dew Tour series in Salt Lake City, Utah this past weekend. Dew Tour has 4 stops and the final round will take place in Orlando Florida, October 16-18.
Ryan Leads the points race with a 3rd at the first stop and back to back wins at the last 2.

The competition was solid in Salt Lake and with Ryan's first run being the highest of the night by combining opposite spinning tricks and a burly 720 truck driver at the end. Ryan Crashed his second run and moved all the way back to 8th place.
Ryan pulled a clean 3rd run and the scores were average dropping the low score and Ryan came out on top!

Haro rider Dennis Enarson also qualified for the final coming off a broken wrist and managed to lay down one banging run from three earning 7th place. Dennis rules and he is one to watch for sure, he brings some big moves out and cranks everything for whats its worth.

Tune in for the final stop next month to see if Haro Rider Ryan Nyquist can go back to back with the Dew cup...

Dennis Enarson Update..

I talked to Dennis his wrist still hurts after breaking his wrist just 2 weeks ago. (As it would!) He did manage to go for a ride yesterday and will be at Dew Tour this weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah. He hopes he can at least bare the pain and ride Dirt as he is 2nd for points.
We'll see...

Haro Race Lite Frames!!!

I am so stoked to introduce our new high end race frame, The Race Lite. This is EXACTLY what I have wanted since I started riding for Haro at the end of 2005. Back then I was either riding a bike that was too small for me (20.75") or a bike that was too big for me (21.25") because they were the only two available sizes. I always asked my team manager for a custom built frame but I never got anywhere with it (Sorry TD but you were lazy some times). This is as custom as it gets, it took me a year to make the production a reality as we've been riding samples for the last few months; but here it is! Tried and True!

The run down:

  • 4 sizes 20.75" - 21" - 21.25" - 21.50"
  • 20.75 has a 14.75 rear center.
  • 21", 21.25", and 21.50" have a 15.2 rear center.
  • 11.5 bb height
  • Fully integrated head tube
  • 21″ frame weighs 3lbs 6oz.
  • Available in Matte Black and Gloss White
  • MSRP $269.99

Nasty Update

Cory "Nasty" Nastazio checked in to let me know he's been riding his Haro Covert at his personal jumps out near Woodward West in California and is looking forward to the 3rd stop of Dew Tour next week in Salt Lake City. Here's some sweet Iphone pics from the session yesterday. Looks like 8 mile is on camera duty so we might see a web vid up soon.

Louisville update.

Out here in Louisville, Kentucky for the the NBL Grand Nationals. Great event so far. We arrived on Tuesday and did a camp with over 150 kids on Wednesday night. Such a good turn out. The track is really fun and some good racing went down today. I rode the track a bunch and gave the camera to Shannon and told him to touch nothing but the shutter button and he came up with this:

Pretty cool photo of Steven Cisar (right) and I. The racing was intense, Steven rode really well and ended up 6th for the day. Tomorrow is the Grand Nationals for the Pro Class which should be a good show. Sure as heck beats being in Germany for Euro Bike right now. I forgot to mention that the weather here is amazing, probably because California sleeps in flames for the past week plus. More updates later, enjoy the photos.
