I just got home from a long weekend in Phoenix for the ABA Winter Nationals. A great event hosted by the ABA. Pro class was stacked with talent and although none of our pros had weekends worth writing home about, Cory Nastazio showed up and took home the victory in the 30 novice class. After his big win the fans lined up outside Vans Shoes pit area waiting for Cory to come out and sign autographs. He's shown above laying down the speed that got him to the finish line first, and below leaving the Vans motorhome with kids lined up everywhere.
- Steven Cisar looked stylish as usual
- AA Pro Josh Oie is psyched on his new Team Issue frame
- ABA's National #1 Pro and our very own THE BRONCO, Khalen Young
- Khalen was out front all day but had an unlucky bad start in the semi final
- Greg Romero won Vet Pro today on a Haro.
- Our Truck driver, Shannon Troglia, handed out promo items with this facial expression.
Here are some photos from the ABA National last month in Lake Perris. It was a mud race in case you were wondering...
- Tony D showed up prepared with rain boots. This was not TD's first rodeo
- Vans Team Manager, Jerry Badders, rocks a Haro PRO XL.
- Flooded but still looking good, Haro/Rockstar pit area
- Khalen under his umbrella like Rhianna
- Shannon is dead serious about Haro BMX, he decided.
It's now 11pm, I've spent the last two days at the BMX track and the last two nights sleeping on a hotel floor. I ran full speed through Sky Harbor International only to make my flight by 2 minutes. I'm beat and I'll be enjoying a comp day tomorrow [thanks Pete] please don't call me before noon. Cheers! -dB
