Home from Chicago
Well that as a busy weekend!!! The first Dew Tour is in the history books and Team Haro had a pretty good showing. Not bad for a hot, sweaty, and humid weekend. It's good to be back in Cali again. The weather here just cannot be beat. Gonna try to get back into a routine whiule I'm home. I have about a week before myself and most of the Haro team heads out for The Worlds in Germany... plenty of time to relax and get ready for what will most definitely be a crazy contest over there.
Here's a photo of my little boy watching me on TV. Hahahaha!!!

Dew Tour Stop 1 Chicago Illinois, June 24th- 27th.
It has been 8 long months since the last Dew Tour, the premier action sports series in America.
This first stop in 2009 in Chicago was a bike only event; including the disciplines Park, Dirt, Vert and for the first time Street.
In park, Haro team rider and fresh high school graduate, Dennis Enarson competed along side teammate Ryan Nyquist and the pair did their best in the humid mid-west weather to finish 10th and 8th respectively.
Dennis mixed it up with multiple variations notably a bar-spin to late tail-whip over the step down hip, and triple whip over the box. Nyquist threw out some big airs, an awesome Back-Flip transfer and also a nice 360 down-side whip over the box jump.
In the dirt competition, Haro team rider’s Cory “Nasty” Nastazio and Ryan Nyquist made it through qualifying into the finals to join Dennis Enarson who had a free ticket to the finals based on last years results.
“Nasty” went big on the cement based jumps, pulling a clean 360 flip on the last jump in run one and a dialed front flip on the last set in run 2. “Nasty” finished in 7th position and is looking forward to the rest of the series where he hopes to unleash some new moves…
Dennis pushed bar-spin to no-hander’s on the step down first set and in run 3 managed a triple whip mid set, followed by a new trick for Dennis, a no-hand one-foot, to late tailwhip. Dennis finished 5th.
The captain of the Haro squad after representing the Haro brand for over 10 years, Ryan Nyquist showed the other competitors and the judges that he still has some fight in him. He twisted 720’s mid set, and a run that included Truck Drivers in both directions. Ryan ended up on the podium in 3rd at the first stop and it’s a great start with a Dew Cup in the plans for 2009.
The new inclusion of “street” to the tour was a popular event. Dennis Enarson was chosen by Premium rider and current X-Games gold medalist in street, Garrett Reynolds as part of a team challenge where the riders had to film on the street based obstacle course over 2 days.
The videos where judged on the rider’s performance and also the videographer’s talent on the final edit which is available to view online at here .
The first stop was successful for the Haro Team, and all the guys look forward to the next stop in Portland, Oregon, August 13th-16th.

Got this little webby, courtesy of Vans. Filmed by Justin Kosman and Terrel Gordy, Edited by Terrel. Filmed at JC park, and Guettler Backyard. The shoe is the Owens Hi MU, with vulcanized sole, its a Chase Hawk endorsed shoe. Denim colorway. It should be out this month, (June) It wont have Chase's name any where though, the shoe just has a eagle print on the insole.
Get some.

So Cal trip/ Nasty's Jam 2009
Josh Harrington and I just bailed out to California for the weekend to go to Vans for the book launch party, then off to Nasty's Jam in Outback California.
I stole this pic from the book launch party from Ride (Thanks Fat)
The Book Launch was pretty cool, we had a ride on the mini ramp thats inside Vans, its real small, but how many business's have a ramp to ride in the factory? The book should be out real soon, and its about the history of Vans Shoes.
The lovely looking Nyquist family came out to Nasty's Jam.
Unfortunately the wind just wouldn't let off, so most of us didn't ride, but we got to hang out out with old friends.
Thanks to Nasty for having us out! Mackay

Vegas Trip Update
I'm in Vegas with Kyle Carlson filming and shooting photos, street here is so good. A lot of it hasn't been shot or filmed either so it makes it pretty easy to get stuff done. I'll keep updating with more spot photos over the next couple days while I'm here. It's also 95 degrees out, hot!

Interview with "Scottish" John Buultjens - Old School Haro Collector
"Scottish" John Buultjens is a mate of mine from Australia who is very passionate about BMX and is a serious fan of old school Haro bikes. I just got an email from him with some pics of his pride and joys and I decided to ask him some Questions...
How long did it take to collect the bikes to this point?
It all started ten years ago when my folks back in Scotland were moving house. They packed up all my thing's from underneath the house and shipped them to me in Australia. I was so stoked to receive all my old thing's in 12 big boxes. My old shoes Ghetto Blaster and all my old broken Haro's from the 80's. It was then I decided to rebuild them. I wanted all my memories to come back to life. So ten years to this date!
What got you into collecting the Haro's?
From 87 I was alway's riding Haro's. There were the bikes everyone rode in the 80's. I mean the originator of Freestyle (Bob Haro) started this thing and he had his own company, so everyone wanted one. You know in 88 Haro had all the pro rider's riding for them and I mean all! Plus the bikes do look better than any other bike company in my eye's. I love my Haro's!
Do you really have them insured for $100,000 AUD? ($81,000 USD)
Well I have 17 bikes in total but I have only finished ten of them. I still need to finish my 2 x 87's, 2 x 88's, my 2 x 91's and my 92 Sport. But yeah they are insured for $100,000
Do you ride the bikes around?
Wash your mouth out please. I have built a spare 87 sport, my original one I rode back in the day. I will probably ride it when we have a reunion over here or maybe bring it to the states to ride one day.
I know you were planning a generations of freestyle is this still going on?
Yeah mate, for sure. The Generations Of Freestyle is the main reason for my collecting the Haro Collection from 1983 to 1992. The reunion will be in 2011. I didn't think it would take me this long to build my bikes. The hardest part is getting the parts. Like my 88 Team master come with Haro HPM gum wall tires in white and the 88 Team Sport come with Haro HPM gum wall tires in Black. These tires are almost impossible to come across. Plus I still need a set of peregrine cranks. Lastly I need 8 team disc's. There are none around so I need to make my own. I was given permission to do so by Haro U.S.A.
How can people contact you if you please?
If anyone can help me with my last few part email me direct at: teamharo@hotmail.com
