Haro's Khalen Young wins ABA #1 Pro title.

Man.....It's been a while since we've had a #1 title in BMX racing. Khalen Young took a years worth of amazing results and wrapped it all up with an overall Win at the ABA Grands...and of course the #1 Pro title. He is now in an Elite #1 Pro club of former Haro Champions... names that include Pete Loncarevich, Mike King, Kiyomi Waller, Warwick Stevenson and Jamie Staff.

We're proud of this guy....and we're gonna throw him a party of all parties to prove it!!!

Congrat's KY. You're awesome man.

My Trip to Cali

I was lucky enough to spent the last 5 days in beautiful So Cal. It was beautiful because I left Greenville in freezing temperatures and on arrival to San Diego it was in the 80's... Im moving soon I promice...

I got to visit Haro and sit in on a meeting about bike color's, Do some shopping at Vans and I was treated to a rock star life in Hollywood at the RockStar Energy Drink office. I did an interview that should be on the site soon (rockstar69.com) and then Heath Pinter and I went around the back streets of Sunset BLVD with a photographer and had pics taken. I got to stay on the Enarson's couch, Justin Kosman's (Photographer) Couch, and Jerry Badders (Vans TM) Couch, and I finished my trip in a pretty nuts Hotel for one night in Downtown San Diego for the Nike Premier (thanks Pete!)

I was stoked to attend the Nike jam at Dennis Enarson's and it was really fun. Big turnout, big tricks, no deckspace, Catfish on the mic getting crazy, Dennis blasting soo high and also flip-whipping the spine, and even kids eating dirt.
I nearly died on one air that spooked me enough to make me stop riding the Mini section! I just yanked as high as I could and boned out coming in way to nosed. I got away without a fall.
Then I went over to the box jump and looped out a 7 and winded myself real bad enough to call it a day.

The premier was great, Im sure you've all scene the vid by now so I dont have to go on, but Im going to close with how good Dennis and Garret are. At 17/18yrs old it is just amazing the level these two are. Dennis scared me on the last T-Whip even though I knew he pulled it! Your crazy kid.

Thanks The Enarson's, Justin Kosman, Haro, Vans and RockStar for the hook ups on a nice fall get away trip. Hopefully its not much longer till Im out there permanent.

Banksgiving Wrap up.

so it was pretty insane...

Here's a couple of points to give you an idea of the crazyness.

• The Enarson's and Nike 6.0 were expecting roughly 150people ath their house for the jam. Approximately 300 showed up.


• Colin Mackay launched so far above coping on one of the quarters that the whole jam errupted. He's still trippin about it.


• The weather couldn't have been any better. Sorry East Coasters...but us So Cal residents pay for the Sunshine. We call it sunshine tax.


• Nike went crazy and rented out the USS Midway, a retired air-craft carrier for the vid premier. Knarly.


• Bob Haro (yes THE Bob Haro) the President of Haro Joe, and myself (I am basically Joe's coffee delivery guy) barely got into the premeir. They were at capacity at 8:30....we arrived after 9. But the steak we ate was dee-lish! Curtis from Nike came down and got us. Thankfully.


• I ate too much Nike Pop Corn. I am a magnet for popcorn. Not helping my diet much.

Mikey, arguably the BEST rider in BMX had a small "get off" in PA and it resulted in him suffering some serious trauma. Listen to what he says at the end of the interview when asked if he's gonna ride again..."Yes, but with a helmet this time". Think you got more skills than Aitken and don't need a helmet? Don't be stupid.

A rain out at the original location (garrett's house) pushed this years Banksgiving to Scotty Cranmer's Incline Club park (indoors). It's still a rad vibe and the Nike 6.0 crew stepped up and bought out the park, pizza and drinks for everyone. Fuel TV is here as well as Vital and I think Ridebmx.com. It's nuts. Taiwan Update.

We're back from Taiwan and it was wild as usual. We, or should I say I, sampled some pretty sketchy food but it wasn't so bad after a couple "Taiwan Beer." Chris enjoyed Subway and McDonalds as much as possible and I was right with him for the most part. We ended up not being able to adapt to the 16 hour time difference and spending the majority of the nights wide awake, and dragging through the next day. We had some fun though, I ended up getting kicked out of the Go-Kart track and told I was not welcome to come back. I don't think the guy in charge understood that if you're not first, you're last. I've attached some photos, the girl inside the glass case is called a Beatle Nut girl. Beatle Nuts are basically a Taiwanese version of chewing tobacco. These girls dress pretty skimpy, a lot of the time in Lingerie, and are always in these glass cases to lure the guys in for the tobacco. The next photo is Chris, Haro BMX Product Manager. He was pretty much living the dream in Taiwan and enjoying showing off the new Convert Frame to paparazzi as he posed for a photo. The last photo was taken outside a market place. I was not hungry. Event Besar BMX FreeStyle Challenge Sejawa-BaliPart II 2007 10 Kota wilayah timur yang diadakan oleh Suryo Pro & Imagine Promosindo Sbg Pelaksana Event.Kali ini gw hrs bnr3 siap fisik & Otak neh...2 bln yg lalu gw baru saja di rekruit oleh salah satu EO yg merupakan salah satu kaki tgn GG di wilayah Jatim (Malang) untuk ngeganti mas Ricosareko yg skrng di Pontianak. sebenarnya sih udah lama tapi gwnya yg blm siap.bg gw sih ini merpakn side job krn kerjaannya ya...msh dlm kategori Freelance .tapi uniknya...untk freelance gw kali ini, gw hrs terjun lngs keLapangn, jd tidak cumn duduk didpn kompt seprti biasanya. gw hrs ikut tour brng GG & Imagine Untk 10 kota wilayah Jawa Bali sampai bln Septmbr. tapi untungnya gw masih bisa bagi waktu ama kerjaan kantor, karena eventnya diadain pas hari libur gw, & untuk side job kali ini gw hrs bnr3 siap fisik, stamina, & Otak Kanan'N kiri, serta ganti kaca mata...biar slinder mata gw ngga' tambah meningkat, masalahnya disetiap setiap event GG selalu ngirimn SPGnya yang gilaa.....cantiknya.....nah ini event pertamanya tnggl, 9 juni kmrn di Surabaya. yg paling membuat gw berkesan di Kerjaan gw kali ini, gw bs kmbli ngmpul ama komnts & Habitat gw.....Yg udh lama gw tnggln & jg bisa ketemu & ngerokok bareng lagi ama group band idola gue, yg akan menjadi bintang tamu di event ini nantinya...mogah3an dikota lainya kesehatan gw masih tetap terjaga, apalagi mata..!!

Gudang Garam BMX Free Style Challenge
Hari sabtu,23 Agustus 2008 kemarin ditengah dinginnya kota Malang Gudang Garam Surya Slim ngadain event ke-3nya.Bertempat di depan stasiun kota malang,event yang udah diincar sama smua anak BMX Indonesia karena hadiahnya yang lumayan gede ini dimulai dari pukul 11.00 pagi sampe abis walaupun acara sempat berhenti gara-gara hujan namun itu ga memudarkan semangat para rider khususnya untuk klas street advance yang uda ngantri sedari pagi dan para masyarakat kota Malang yang berbondong-bondong memadati area hilang.
Event ini dibagi menjadi 4 klas, yaitu Flatland beginner, Flatland advance, Street beginner dan street advance yang dinilai oleh Apep, Dolah, Rombeng dan masing-masing punya 2 run untuk memperebutkan hadiahnya.
Ga kalah heboh, acara ini dimeriahin juga oleh beberapa band lokal maupun band tamu, live DJ perform, dan ga kalah seru ada sexy dancernya juga yang bikin suasana dingin jadi anget.. waaaah..kebayang donk serunya..
Buat kamu yang ga sempet ngikutin seri-seri sebelumnya di kota Solo, Jogja dan Malang ..kmu bisa ikutan seri ke 4nya di Kota Bandung serta kota Surabaya untuk final eventnya…so, cu there guys

Don’t you hate it when you show up to a spot or skate park and one of the first things you do is crash? That happened to me the other day. So I show up to anthem and within 5 minutes of me being in the park, I slam! On the upside of this week, I finally got an up to date cell phone, the Google G1… Check out the photos from it, some are kind of dark…. (Don’t ever pass out when the party is still going)

Next Week I’ll be flying to New Jersey to ride the Nike Jam. Should be a good time, it was last year. Hopefully my wrist and ribs feel better by than. Check back in a week or so for some photos from the Trip.
