Shimano's Octalink 8-spline interface further reinforces the bottom-bracket-to-crank connection, and a carbon-composite/titanium middle chainring improves durability. Hyperdrive tooth profiling dramatically increases shifting performance when integrated with the XTR chain and front derailleur system.
