2011 Labor Of Love: History Project Ramps Up!

BMX Digital, May 2009
Evolution / Revelation, a visual history of Freestyle 1987-Present

A special new media project (work in progress) in conjunction with BMXDigital dot com and TENEYCK MEDIA

Before the X-Games and signature video games, riders all over the planet pushed BMX to new heights and helped plant action sports into the mainstream of pop culture.

In the fad-filled years of Cold War, Reganomics, Exxon Valdez, and the fall of the Berlin Wall: riders around the world began to trash their neon factory uniforms and take back the sport, one rider-owned-company at a time.

EVOLUTION / REVELATION is a collection of newly-digitized BMX Freestyle days gone by and a recent snapshot of the modern Flatland scene in North America. We traveled 7500 miles and began this project three years ago. What a ride! This is a work in progress and we are seeking collaboration!

So far we’ve gotten rights and published the Haro and GT demo tapes and currently have a STACK of old tapes to digitize and add to collection. We need your old school Freestyle footage, stills, graphics, and stories. 1987 to the Present

Submit your tapes and photos today! GT@TenEyckMedia.com
